Ringgold Telephone Company (RTC) was established in 1912 by Jim Evitt Sr. The company, now a thriving, modern telecom provider, is owned and operated by Evitt’s granddaughter, Alice Evitt Bandy. RTC primarily serves Ringgold, GA, with traditional telecommunications services. Additionally, RTC builds and maintains various dark fiber networks in Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama. With RTC’s help, many bandwidth constrained communities have benefitted from newly installed, state-of-the-art fiber equipment which provides seamless connectivity.
Today RTC has a strong fiber based infrastructure and offers up to 1 Gig broadband service to residential and business customers. When driving north on I-75 you can see their announcements for Gig services on the billboards.
They continue to be innovative in offering a variety of solutions and services to their community. They recognize the benefits they offer their community and continue to look for ways to support and improve the quality of life in their area.
